Fossil Creek Stone is a quartzitic sandstone formed over 300 million years ago in the deserts of Eastern New Mexico. Formed by water deposits with a higher compressive strength (16,400 psi) and a lower absorption rate (2%), Fossil Creek Stone can be utilized in any climate and last for generations. Fossil Creek Stone is a color consistent material, with its neutral beige to earth tone buff coloring. Fossil Creek European Cobbles are ideal for high-traffic areas requiring heavy-load support and superior traction. Cobbles enhance both, traditional and modern designs, often serving as edging or accent borders in landscaping.
